Food photography

Food enters this practice as an extension of ritual and remembrance. In gestures of preparation — kneading, pouring, breaking bread — care becomes visible. Sensory experience holds memory within the body: the warmth of tea, the scent of herbs, the softness of dough. As Marcel Proust observed, taste and smell can awaken what has long been dormant; the senses collapse time, returning us to moments of intimacy, childhood, and belonging.
